Hi, I’m Kim

I've been deeply immersed in the world of technology for more than four decades. Over the years, I've ventured into various large corporate technology spaces, gaining invaluable experience and making a lasting impact in the tech landscape of South Africa.

Here's a glimpse into my journey:

~ I've been on the frontline of technology in the South African internet sphere, heading up a satellite internet contact centre for four memorable years.

~ I took on the challenge of creating the first internal service desk in a major South African ISP, and I proudly ran it for five years, streamlining IT support and communication.

~ Additionally, I single-handedly managed the end-to-end IT requirements for an NGO for a remarkable five years, ensuring their technology needs were met efficiently and creating technical as well as financial efficiencies during this time.

~ My expertise extends to implementing a full ITIL suite of processes in multiple companies. I have a proven track record of efficient and effective IT communication spanning the past decade.

I am a gaming OG who played Pong and Tetris, and now I’m a gaming mother of three gaming children of varying ages (29, 20, and 18), I've witnessed firsthand how online gaming can foster well-adjusted kids with strong friendships. Especially during the challenges of COVID, when traditional socializing was limited, online gaming became a lifeline for my children's friendships and personalities, helping them thrive.

My goal is to bring these benefits to other children too.

I deeply understand the challenges of our children and technology and I’ve assisted my own family through some of the pitfalls and challenges the internet has had to offer. My aim is to teach and equip other children with the knowledge and the skills to navigate the online world safely rather than simply restrict them and ‘hope’ that they figure it out when they’re older.
